Winter Shipping Packing comes with ONE heat pack and packing insulation lining your box. We offer 72hr, 96hr and 120hr heat packs depending on your distance from us and the shipping method chosen. When it comes to winter protection we highly recommend a faster shipping method to avoid any unnecessary exposure to cold temperatures. Priority shipping is not recommended or available with winter shipping and we cannot take any responsibility for any damage that might happen due to temperatures. UPS 2 day or a one day option are all that are available for this.
We take every precaution to ensure the safe arrival of your plant. We check the weather along its expected route, use special insulated packaging and a heat pack as well as shipping only on certain days. If we feel its necessary to hold your order for cold weather related reasons we will contact you asap.
What's not covered?
- Normal shipping stress (broken stems, damaged or yellowing leaves). We take extra care in our packaging, but occasionally a stem or leaf is damaged during shipping.
- Packages delayed or lost by the carrier
- Packages stolen post delivery
- Any packages left outside of the delivery address for more than 10 minutes in temperatures below 45deg. Please make sure you are available to receive your package when it is delivered. There are numerous options if you are unavailable -- Usually your local CVS or Walgreens can be used as a drop off location or you can call UPS and request your package be held for pick up at one of their store locations.
All plants go through some degree of stress when being shipped, though it's not always immediately obvious. It is common for a leaf to be damaged, yellow or wilt during the stress of shipping. A healthy root system is the most important thing so losing a leaf from time to time is really no big deal.
What happens if I forget to add winter packaging?
If your order hasn't shipped and you'd like to add our winter insulation please email us as soon as possible at loveandodditiesnola@gmail.com with your order number and we can add it onto your order
