The Ficus "Audrey" (Ficus benghalensis)has a striking, minimalist aesthetic, with deep green velvet leaves and a white trunk that thickens as the plant matures
Care for the Ficus Audrey is on the easier side for ficuses: it appreciates bright, indirect light and regular waterings with a dry-out period in between, similar to its close relative the Rubber Plant.
LIGHT
Bright indirect light. This plant can tolerate small doses of direct sunlight. It does not fare well in low light.
WATER
Be sure to water your plant upon delivery. Ficus Audrey trees prefer moderately moist soil. A thorough watering when the top 2"-3" of the soil are dry is ideal. This plant is sensitive to overwatering and susceptible to root rot.
HUMIDITYÂ
Medium humidity. Place your plant away from hot or cold air drafts. Â This plant appreciates a gentle misting. The large leaves are dust collectors, and misting will help keep the leaves clean. Please note, the leaves are fuzzy! Do not leaf shine or attempt to rub away the fuzz.
These plants are in 4” pots and are grower’s choice.Â
